If anything truly defines Miramar Hotel , it is the value we attach to discriminating service. Building upon quality employee development has enabled us to provide world class Filipino hospitality that continues to gain local and international patronage.
Conveniently located within Manila’s cultural and business hub and facing picturesque Manila Bay, Miramar Hotel Manila is a stone’s throw away from the American Embassy, The Metropolitan Museum, Museo Pambata ( Children’s Museum ), Rizal Park, Manila Ocean Park, The Entertainment City, and a few minutes’ drive away from the Walled City of Intramuros.
According to the hotel, this is one of the most antique hotel in Manila. It was built in 1930s and we enjoyed staying in this hotel. The room was nice, cozy and the staff were friendly.
The elevator is kinda old, but anyway, it is one of the things that makes this hotel antique.
I like it… as it is really a vintage… mom and dad like vintage… the front desk are kind especially Ms. Grace for giving my mom’s request.
The atmosphere was great if you love historic. It is a well-kept example of Art Deco and I am told is one of the only surviving pre-WWII hotels in Manila. There is a central atrium from the 2nd level to the roof that all floors look out over from their hallways. The rooms were small but had mini-refrigerators and TVs. The bathrooms were well-stocked. The hotel has a nice-looking restaurant on the first floor that offered a piano bar and live entertainment. Lastly, the staff was excellent, and provided quick fixes to requests for things such as extra towels, etc., and also were very willing to help with information and directions. So, for us… location and convenience: 5 stars, historical feel: 5-stars and staff: 5 stars!
The Miramar Hotel is old, but it has been re-furbished tastefully. The staff are very helpful, courteous and friendly, without being over-bearing. Some rooms are noisy from the traffic along Roxas Blvd, and if there are younger guests staying there, it can be noisy from a little boisterous activity. Overall, it’s not 5-Star, but then again, you’re not paying 5-Star prices. It’s good value for money, in a convenient location.
